Member meeting | Collaborating with EPA Victoria and understanding the state of illegal waste in Victoria
Attendees will learn how EPA is investigating waste crime under the new waste laws and how to collaborate on investigations. Members will also receive an overview of the 2020-21 Illegal Waste Survey, including emerging trends like tyre dumping and receive scenario based training to assist responses.

- Understand and prepare for emerging trends in illegal waste
Description
Attendees will learn how EPA is investigating waste crime under the new waste laws and how Councils and EPA collaborate on investigations. Members will also receive an overview of the 2020-21 Illegal Waste Survey, including a moderated discussion on emerging trends including rogue operator models, tyre dumping and green waste dumping. Finally, scenario based training will assist attendees to prepare and respond to these emerging trends.
